Spend your days exploring the city. Hop on a city-sightseeing bus and journey to many historical sites, including the Apartheid Museum and Constitutional Hill. You’ll also travel to Soweto where you can sample local delicacies, visit Nelson Mandela’s home, and for the brave, jump off Soweto Towers. For those looking to fill their suitcases with bags of goodies, you can shop up a storm in Sandton City. After all, you are in the city of gold.

An experience not to be missed is the vibrant nightlife. See world-class entertainment live. From international sports games to award-winning ballet and musical productions, and quality local comedy acts, your nights will quickly fill up with things to do. If after all of this fun you are feeling rather hungry, not to worry, you will find a variety of quality restaurants around every corner.

And if you have come to South Africa to see the Big 5, Joburg is fairly close to the popular wildlife parks. You can explore the parks on your own, or book into a game lodge where knowledgeable rangers deliver once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
